AMR 1st Anniversary Crop!!!!!!!!!!!

I will make each of the Class threads a "stickey" to make them easier to find.* Each Class will include a challenge, and you will have until Thursday, Jan. 15 to submit your entry. Laura's Class: Mini Badge Album -- she has a lot of clever ideas on how to use this adorable mini! Seems like a lot of supplies, but it's just that she's thorough, so don't panic!
8x8 piece (or larger) of Mat Board (Similar to Cosmo Cricket’s Black board, available at art framing stores).
1-2 Binder Rings OR ¾ inch Bind-It-All wires1 pkg of badge holders (in the office supply section of Target, Wal-Mart, or office supply store)
3-4 sheets of a coordinating line, preferably with a design element that can be cut out like flowers, animals, etc. (Class example will be based on Basic Grey’s Urban Prairie, available at AMR).

Anne Marie's Class: 2009 Goals/Dreams Layout -- I may not be the most creative person in the world, but I'm organized like no one's business, LOL! So I thought I'd guide you through capturing your goals & dreams for the new year in a layout!
Any favorite papers & embellies.

Samantha's Class: Black Soot Stamping technique -- YES! Sam is coming back! Some of you may have seen an example of this technique on her blog. She's going to take us step-by-step. I can't wait!

Versamark ink & Basic Black inka candle (you'll be using an open flame, so make sure you have a safe, stable area to do this!)

Two New Layouts

Today I have two new layouts to share. The first layout is my baby cousin at our Church in early December. I used the new Chatter Box Christmas kit from Sam's Club to create this layout. The only thing that did not come with the kit was the red cardstock. This is one of my favorite kits that I own. It really challenged me because black is a color that I don't really use, especially on Christmas layouts, but I really like the way it turned out. The second layout is a picture of the first snow we got at my house. I used paper from the Paper Studio that I got at Hobby Lobby a few months ago. I also used my new Cricut cartridge (doodlecharms) on this layout. I used it to cut out the snowman and the little tag the snowman is on.

Long Day!!!!!!!

I've had a long and bad day today. It all started when I got up this morning at 6:30 am. That is something I never do and to add to that I stayed up until 1:00am this morning watching "Mama's Boys" on We. It is a very interesting show. Any way here I am at 6:30am still half way asleep trying to straighten my hair with my flat iron. Guess what I done??? I almost burned my ear. That made me wake up real fast.

Then when I saw my mom this morning she had on some kind of perfume and it starting bothering my allergies. When that happened my eyes started to get puffy and I got a runny nose. As if that wasn't bad enough I think I am getting a cold.

After I got home today I had plans to scrap my Thanksgiving and Christmas photos. My scrap area is in a bedroom. When I went into the bedroom I decided to clean for about an hour. Three hours later and 4 bags of junk later I notice the time. I started going through a lot of old junk that I knew I didn't need and started putting it in bags and let me say I already notice the difference. My room looks so clean and pretty right now. I am almost finished, except for the closet. I am going to go through the junk in there tomorrow. I might get to start scrapping my photos tonight.

Candy Box

Today I have a new candy box to share. This box was so easy and fun to make. You can find the tutorial to make it here. You can make them in many differnt sizes, but I chose to use a piece of 5"x10" cardstock to make mine. Another good thing about these boxes is they can hold good amount of candy depending on the size you make. I used DCWV pp, Martha Stewart stamps, my cricut to cut out the oval, and a sweet little red flower. I hope you take the time and try to make one too. I think it took me around 30 minutes to complete the entire box.
